Now Enrolling! Child Care, Daycare, Preschool
Nature brings inspiration for all types of art forms.
We’ll dive into a number of different ways to express ourselves: painting, drawing, collage, dance, music, and more, all using natural materials and inspired by the park around us.
Children will learn all about ways to be creative in the great outdoors.
Learning about the planets, our planet Earth, satellite planets, our Sun, Moon, Stars, Astrology, Astronomy and atmospheres, brings an awareness of environment and stewardship of care to our Galaxy in the Universe. Being outdoors, we get to experience the weather systems and learn more about the wonders of space.
Time to get down to Earth, do some tribal art face painting, fire-side indigenous story telling, explore indigenous tribes, drum play and songs, taste the wild Salmon Berries, learn to appreciate the animals and plants all around us, create our own Totem Poles, and introduce the "Since Time Immemorial" syllabus, talking about living at one with nature.
We introduce who the Snoqualmie Tribe are and hear the Lashootseed language.
LET'S BUILD THINGS & INVENT THINGS!
Does your kiddo love to build, dig, create, and construct? This camp is an opportunity to explore different ways to be an engineer through interactions with the outdoors. Children will have open-ended projects using the elements of nature to create structures, build forts, use tools, and examine the built elements of the park around them.
Discover the park’s many wonders in this two-week camp. Children will encounter the insects, trails, and nooks of the park using tools for science learning- magnifying glasses, binoculars, maps, shovels, books, and more. We’ll adventure in and around our fabulous class spaces and hone our investigative skills and become true experts in the park’s ecology, history, and hidden secrets!
Children LOVE play and LOVE water! One of the most beloved camps by all children: a Practical Life experience filled with water play and learning about how awesome water is - water cycles, water science and water works.
From sack races to stone-in-a-spoon races, three-legged races, wheelbarrow races and obstacle courses, Forest School Ninja Warrior Fun in the sun has all the children getting super fit and healthy in the fresh air, with lots of movement and sports.
Dance routines stimulate the brain with hand-eye coordination, foot-eye coordination, rhythm and timing.
Let's celebrate good times!
